Amik Guerra Quartet took the stage for a concert experience like no other. Led by the exceptional Cuban trumpeter Amik Guerra, this quartet was set to deliver a captivating fusion of Afro-Cuban rhythms and jazz improvisation.
Amik Guerra, one of Cuba's most dynamic and innovative trumpeters, leads the quartet with unparalleled virtuosity and passionate performances. Having shared the stage with jazz luminaries such as Roy Hargrove and being part of the celebrated trio Italuba led by the phenomenal drummer Horacio "El Negro" Hernandez, Guerra brings a wealth of experience and artistry to every performance.
Joining Guerra on stage were three exceptionally talented musicians, each bringing their distinctive flair to the ensemble. The lineup included Yasser Pino on bass and Raciel Torres on drums, both hailing from Cuba, infusing the quartet's sound with authentic Afro-Cuban rhythms and infectious energy. Danish pianist Carl Winter added a touch of Scandinavian sophistication to the mix, rounding out the ensemble with his virtuosic playing and creative improvisations. And, last but not least as a special guest the Cuban percussionist Raydel Medina, whose grooving and precise style brought the final touch to this amazing ensemble.
